This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.

Your Opportunity

As a Manager, you'll lead client engagements and act as a trusted advisor to China-connected businesses, delivering high-quality tax and business advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of China-connected clients, including mid-market businesses, private groups, and foreign-invested enterprises
- Provide practical, commercially focused advice on cross-border tax, structuring, and international operations
- Lead end-to-end engagement delivery, including scoping, budgeting, resourcing, and technical review
- Oversee and review tax compliance and reporting to ensure quality and regulatory adherence
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (CFOs, founders, boards)
- Identify and drive business development opportunities, supporting proposals and pitches
- Collaborate across KPMG's Australia, China, and global network
- Lead, coach, and develop Consultants and Senior Consultants
- Drive engagement performance, managing timelines, budgets, and utilisation




- Stay current on China-related tax and regulatory developments and translate into client insights

How Are You Extraordinary?

- Experience working with China-connected clients or cross-border engagements
- Business level Mandarin (spoken and/or written) (highly regarded)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical advice into business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to practice development
