Waste Consultant (Strategy & Circular Economy)

As part of our growth, we are seeking a Waste Strategy & Circular Economy (CE) Consultant to join the Waste Strategy & CE Team. This is a permanent, full-time role. The position is to assist and lead the delivery of waste strategy and circular economy projects across Australia.

The Opportunity, Where You Come In:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and managing a range of waste strategy and circular economy projects, including but not limited to:

Development of Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Strategies;

Preparation of Strategic Waste Management Plans;

Delivery of Local Government Waste Service Reviews and Optimisation Projects;

Preparation of tender documentation and management of procurement processes for waste management services, including collection, treatment, and Waste Supply Agreements;

Feasibility assessments, business case development, and financial modelling;

Research and preparation of funding applications and grant submissions;

Preparation of Waste Management Plans (WMPs) and Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs) to support development, planning, and building approvals;

Development of Waste Awareness, Behaviour Change, and Education Programs;

Project management, including stakeholder engagement, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting; and





Client liaison and relationship management.

What we are looking for:

You'd be a great fit if you bring:

Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability or similar;

Previous experience in in the waste management, resource recovery, circular economy, sustainability, or environmental consulting sectors highly desirable;

Demonstrated experience delivering waste strategy, resource recovery, or circular economy projects highly desirable;

A strong commitment to sustainable resource recovery and environmental outcomes;

Robust analytical, report writing, and problem-solving skills;

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;

Advanced Word and Excel skills;

Full working rights; and

Self-motivated, with demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
