Commencing August, 2026 The Geelong College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 1st Boys Tennis Coach to lead our premier boys' tennis program for the 2026/2027 APS season. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach to develop talented student-athletes, foster a positive team culture, and contribute to a competitive APS tennis program. Working closely with the Director of Sport, Teacher in Charge of Tennis and Strength & Conditioning staff, you will play a key role in the technical, tactical, and personal development of our students.
The role includes pre-season training from Term 3, 2026, with the APS season running from Term 4, 2026 through to the end of Term 1, 2027.
Qualifications And Experience Applicants should demonstrate: Elite coaching and/or high-level playing experience in tennis.
Tennis Australia Level 1 Coaching Accreditation (or equivalent).
Experience coaching children and young people.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A cooperative approach and commitment to developing young athletes.
The ability to foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team environment.
Essential Compliance Requirements Current
Working with Children Check (Employee status)
or VIT Registration, or ability to obtain
Completion of College anaphylaxis training (or accredited equivalent)
Current First Aid (HLTAID011), CPR (HLTAID009) and Asthma Management certification
Completion of the Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations module (Victorian Department of Education and Training)
Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
