Rocbolt Resins Australia is seeking a versatile, trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team at Smeaton Grange.
We operate two production shifts, covering approximately 20 hours per day, and employ around 60 people. You will join a supportive, close-knit maintenance team of six in a permanent, long-term position.
About the role
- Permanent full-time position
- Monday to Thursday - 40 ordinary hours per week
- Friday overtime may be available for production support and maintenance work
- Occasional weekend work for projects
- Work within a cooperative maintenance team supporting production operations
- Convenient Smeaton Grange location, close to Narellan Road
Key responsibilities
- Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and safely
- Perform planned preventive maintenance
- Complete daily and weekly equipment inspections
- Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance across a range of plant and equipment
- Identify and resolve mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
- Communicate clearly with the Maintenance Manager, supervisors and senior production personnel
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and production team members
- Work effectively without supervision when required
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant trade qualification or extensive experience as a Maintenance Fitter
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
- Experience working with pumps, filters and conveyors
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- The ability to respond with urgency while maintaining safe work practices
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- A reliable, motivated and practical approach
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Desirable qualifications and experience
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
- Electrical disconnect/reconnect qualification
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Forklift, EWP, confined-space or working-at-heights certification
- Experience operating milling machines and lathes
