Quality Inspector - Maternity Leave Contract 10-12 Months

Activ Pharmaceuticals, based in Smeaton Grange, manufactures liquid and cream products in cosmetic and therapeutic grades and is a part of the Activ Pharmaceuticals Group.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our team on a 10-12 month maternity leave contract . This role is responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance and Production functions through the management of manufacturing and packaging documentation, quality systems, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the issuance of Manufacturing Work Orders and Packaging Work Orders.
- Support customer complaint investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and Change Control processes.
- Prepare and maintain production documentation for QA review and approval.
- Verify compliance with production line checks, line start-up, and line clearance activities.
- Issue packaging material codes within the Standard Names Register.
- Review and approve printed packaging materials prior to the commencement of production.
- Manage and maintain Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) documentation in accordance with approved SOPs, including document issuance, review, approval, revision, and archiving.




- Assist with the preparation for internal and external audits and support audit activities.
- Ensure all activities are performed safely and in accordance with company policies, GMP requirements, legislative obligations, and regulatory standards.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A qualification in Science, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years' experience in a Quality Assurance or GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing workplace.
- A sound understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and solid organisational skills.
- Experience with quality documentation, document control, and production records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A commitment to maintaining high quality standards and regulatory compliance.
