Are you a compassionate and dynamic Credentialled Diabetes Educator ready to make a meaningful impact in paediatric care?

Campbelltown

Hospital is seeking a personable and skilled Diabetes Nurse Educator to join our forward thinking, multidisciplinary team within the Paediatric Diabetes Service.In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver expert diabetes education and support. Your experience with insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring systems will be highly valued as you help shape personalised care plans and empower young patients to thrive.You will also have the opportunities to gain leadership experience by providing mentorship and supervision to colleagues and other nursing staff. Role is part time - 2 days per week Are You the Right Fit?

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgement, critical thinking, and the ability to work autonomously while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. They will possess well-developed problem-solving skills, show initiative in complex clinical situations, and maintain a high level of professional accountability and leadership within a multidisciplinary team workplace. A sound knowledge of paediatric diabetes management, including both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, is essential,



along with an understanding of diabetes care planning and management within school settings.

The successful candidate will be committed to ongoing professional development and remain current with advancements in diabetes technology, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, while applying evidence-based practice and contemporary paediatric care standards to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people living with diabetes.
