About the role

Henny Penny Franchising Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Quick Food Management Trainee in Maitland & Newcastle Area Stores, NSW. This is a full-time government-accredited traineeship chance offering a unique pathway into retail management within the fast food and food retail sector. You will gain practical, hands-on experience whilst working towards your Certificate III qualification, preparing you for a successful career in food retail management.

This role combines on-the-job training with formal study, providing you with both theoretical knowledge and real-world experience essential for managing busy food retail operations.

What you'll be doing

- Supporting the day-to-day operations of our fast food outlet, including opening and closing procedures

- Assisting with staff scheduling, training and supervision under the guidance of senior management

- Monitoring and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with relevant regulations

- Managing customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all customers

- Assisting with inventory management, stock rotation and ordering of supplies

- Supporting the implementation of operational policies and procedures

- Contributing to the achievement of sales targets and financial objectives

- Learning point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures

- Assisting with promotional activities and marketing initiatives

- Completing assigned tasks as directed by management whilst undertaking your Certificate III qualification

What we're looking for

- Candidates to be eligible to commence a Certificate III in Retail Management or equivalent government-accredited traineeship program

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

- Reliability and commitment to attendance and punctuality
- A genuine interest in the fast food and retail industry

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to support inventory and financial management tasks





- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

- Customer service experience or retail background is advantageous but not essential

- Enthusiasm for learning and professional development

- Australian Work Rights and a valid Australian Drivers Licence are preferred but not essential
