Who We Are For 19 years, NettZero has built a track record in Australian sustainability: NABERS ratings, indoor air quality testing, carbon accounting, and corporate decarbonization strategies. We work with buildings and companies who need to prove their environmental performance with real data.

Our Buildings team is growing fast. We're looking for someone who can run NABERS IE and IAQ assessments independently, mentor others on the technical side, and help us scale what we do.

About the Role

As a NABERS IE and IAQ Assessor, you'll lead assessments across office buildings, retail, and other commercial spaces. You'll work with our technical team—engineers and consultants—to design testing scopes, conduct on-site work, analyze results, and write detailed reports. You'll mentor staff on best practices, feed into our quality assurance process, and build relationships with facility managers and on-site teams. You'll also feed back into how we develop our IAQ and IE offerings internally.

Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing in office buildings, shopping centres and a variety of other commercial sector buildings.
- Performing NABERS indoor environment ratings in office buildings.
- The ability to train or mentor internal staff on how to use the IAQ and IE equipment and best practices for a successful testing outcome.
- Participating in our internal QA process where our NABERS assessors peer review each other’s NABERS IE ratings.
- Develop the scope of works that NettZero provides regarding IAQ testing from a technical point of view.
- Have a strong understanding of HVAC operations that can used to underpin our NABERS IE improvement plans.




- To contribute to the ongoing development of NettZero internal IAQ and IE processes and working methodologies.
- To develop client relationships, specifically with the onsite teams and facility managers.
- To actively promote the whole range of NettZero services.
- To complete high level detailed IAQ and IE reports and data analysis.
- Detailed Report Writing and Client Analysis Discussions

Key Requirements

- Experience in Indoor Environment and Air Quality testing essential (including TVOC's)
- Experience in sampling for Water Toxins preferable
- Accreditation in NABERS (IE) and Indoor Air Quality is preferable
- Strong understanding of HVAC operations
- Excellent communication skills for both client interactions and internal training
- Analytical abilities for comprehensive data analysis and reporting
- Experience with report writing, confident use of Microsoft Software and excellent time & project management skills
