Vendor Management Australia Pty Ltd (VMA) has vacancies for suitably skilled and qualified people to undertake roles as Desktop Investigators.

As a Desktop Investigator you will be able to manage and deliver professional, ethical, and evidence-based investigations and deliver recommendations which are always established in accordance with the Rule of Law and with the application of Procedural Fairness.

The Role:

You will work from your home office, with all working equipment provided.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Establishing verbal “versions of events” with all customers, third parties, witnesses

- Reviewing all claim documents and identifying any anomalies.

- Conducting a detailed Desktop Investigation

- Conducting recorded interviews with Insured, Third parties and witnesses.

- Reviewing all evidence gathered to determine the status of the claim and outcome.

- Facilitating the delivery of the claim outcome when appropriate.

License:

You will be required to hold an Investigators Licence (preferred) that permits you to work as an Investigator in your State of residence on and from the date of commencement of your role.

For a successful applicant, if you do not already hold an Investigation license, VMA will assist you with the process and any costs associated with obtaining the relevant licenses will be reimbursed upon commencement of the role.

Your knowledge:

- Knowledge, previous experience and qualifications and skills in Insurance Investigations are essential for this role.

- Legal experience, knowledge, training, or qualifications will be highly regarded.

- Knowledge of the commercial Insurance environment is desirable, not essential.

- You need sound analytical skills and must be able to filter facts and versions.

- Attention to detail and a keen mind are essential in this role.

Your Experience:

- Previous General Insurance claims handling and or Insurance Investigations experience would be well regarded.
