About the Role

The Graduate Librarian/Librarian Education & Research Services works in a multidisciplinary workplace and contributes to the design, implementation, promotion and continuous development of innovative, client centred information services that support learning, teaching and research across the University. The role supports faculty outreach services and responds to the evolving information needs of a diverse Library client base.

Role responsibilities

- Deliver high quality, client centred education and research support services for academic staff, students and researchers
- Design and deliver information literacy and research support programs, both face to face and online
- Act as a specialist contact point for academics to support learning,



teaching and research needs
- Contribute to and support Library projects and initiatives that may impact on other areas of the University
- Apply knowledge of Library and University policies, processes and systems to support service delivery and project outcomes
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaborative service delivery
- Use research, data and analytics to support informed decision making and continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively across teams and units to deliver integrated, high quality Library services
- At HEW 6 level, apply expertise to solve complex problems, optimise service provision and recommend quality improvements
- Perform other duties consistent with the role and classification level

Experience

- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and independently in a team environment
- Proven contribution to achieving team and organisational goals
- At HEW 6 level, experience in the design and delivery of high quality information literacy and research support programs

Qualifications

- Relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

What We Offer

Base Salary Range: ($83,906 - $95,989) HEW5, ($97,332 - $105,385) HEW6 plus 17% superannuation (pension)

The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
