Airline Marketing Australia (AMA), one of Australia's leading airline General Sales Agents (GSA), is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic recent TAFE graduate to join our Sydney team. No previous industry experience is required. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity to launch your career in the travel industry.
About the Role
This is an office based, entry level position designed to develop the successful candidate into an experienced Reservations/Travel Consultant. Through comprehensive training and ongoing mentoring, you will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence required to build a successful long-term career in the airline and travel industry.
As part of your development, you will:
- Learn airline reservations, ticketing and fare construction
- Assist travel agents and passengers with reservations and enquiries
- Gain experience using airline reservation systems (GDS)
- Develop an understanding of airline fares, ticketing procedures and industry regulations
- Work alongside experienced airline professionals and receive ongoing coaching
- Build the expertise required to become a confident and experienced Reservations/Travel Consultant
About You
- Recent TAFE graduate in Travel, Tourism, Aviation or a related qualification
- Passionate about the travel and aviation industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Robust attention to detail
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Good computer skills and some GDS knowledge
- A desire to build a long-term career in the travel industry
