You’re a fantastic bookkeeper - you’re very structured, organised & diligent. You love systems & processes and making sure you have all the checks & guardrails in place to ensure nothing slips through the cracks/you feel on top of everything.

In every role you’ve had you’ve played a big part in making the bookkeeping/accounts functions of the business better. You are great at finding the gaps or inefficiencies and coming up with current & better ways to do things. You love the challenge of walking into something unorganised and rolling up your sleeves to help make it great.

You bring a positive & solutions focused energy to the teams you join. You’re not one to say it “can’t be done”, you just keep looking for the right answer. You’re not scared of learning new softwares - you’re usually the one people come to for help in learning them!

This is a very special role for our client - the business was started nearly 30 years ago by a husband and wife team, and the company has grown stably & steadily all these years and it’s a thriving family business.

They need someone who is a whizz with payroll & payables, loves systems & organisation and isn’t scared to dig deep into things to find the answers. They don’t want a “yes man”, they want someone who will help them be better - is this system working? Is this the right process? What is missing? They need someone proactive and solutions focused.

They’re a dynamic family business and if you’re the right person, they will mentor & develop you into the areas you thrive in most. They’re growing and there are opportunities to learn other functions & grow in your role. This role being done well will really positively impact the business - it frees up the GM & owners to focus on other things and will give them confidence & stability - so it’s a role where you can make a big impact.

The role is full-time (9-5 or 8-4, they can be flexible!) in Prestons (plenty of parking).
