Queensland Corrective Services is hiring a Mental Health Clinician – Occupational Therapist – Social Worker. The role offers professional supervision, development, and supportive leadership, and involves managing a challenging caseload and providing tailored mental health interventions.

The position will be based at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre, a facility that provides a range of mental health services to adults in custody.

Responsibilities

- Conduct independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk.
- Provide psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms and treatment options to individuals.
- Deliver individual or group‑based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and contemporary understanding of psychopathology, diagnostic classification systems,



and clinical and psychometric assessment tools.
- Apply QCS' clinical frameworks to guide decisions and activities, and work under supportive leadership and supervision to broaden professional experience.
