Senior Analyst, Finance Operations (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Join a high-performing Finance Operations team and play a key role in delivering critical data and automation processes that support TAL’s Finance business units. This position contributes to the monthly reporting cycle while helping drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovative solutions across the function. You will be involved in meaningful change initiatives and efficiency improvements that create real business impact. Success comes from a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, peer review, and collective problem‑solving are valued. NOTE: This role has potential to be extended beyond the initial 12 month contract.

Responsibilities

- Support the execution of key Finance processes under the supervision of the Manager or Senior Manager, including:
Execution of Prophet models
Execution of processes to update monthly assumptions
Preparation, manipulation, and interpretation of data
- Develop detailed knowledge of financial reporting requirements at TAL
- Support project and ad‑hoc requests under the supervision of the Manager or Senior Manager





Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics or equivalent relevant disciplines
- Exposure to FIS insurance suite of products – Prophet, DCS
- Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills
- AASB 17 financial reporting experience
- Aptitude for learning new software tools
- Experience in delegating to junior team members
