Neurosurgery Senior Resident Medical Officer – Full-time Temporary

Job Overview

Applications are sought for the 2027 clinical year, commencing February 2027 for a period of 12 months with possible extension. The role involves delivering high quality neurosurgical care for adult patients, performing elective and acute neurosurgery, participating in teaching, and gaining operative experience.

Responsibilities

- Provide clinical neurosurgical care for adult patients.
- Participate in elective and acute surgical procedures.
- Engage in teaching activities with residents and junior staff.




- Maintain patient records and adhere to clinical protocols.
- Comply with Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.

Qualifications

- Must be PGY3+ by February 2027.
- Qualified medical practitioner with specialty in neurosurgery or related field.
- Willing to work full‑time temporary position for 12 months, with potential extension.
- Obtain appropriate visa sponsorship when eligible.

Additional Information

Comply with all CHS policies and requirements. Where an offer of employment is for a fixed‑term period, related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the Fair Work Act.
