About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health (SRN 3), you will take on a leadership role in mental health triage, acute assessment, crisis intervention, and case management. This position requires a agile and adaptable nurse who is confident in working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a remote hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
Conducting mental health triage and acute assessments
Performing risk assessments and developing safety plans
Delivering crisis intervention and stabilisation strategies
Providing ongoing case management and care coordination
Supporting and mentoring other team members in best practices
Collaborating with hospital teams and external services for seamless client care
What We're Looking For:
Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
Experience in mental health triage, crisis response, and case management
Robust leadership skills with the ability to work in remote settings
Ability to manage complex mental health presentations
Commitment to culturally safe care, particularly in Aboriginal communities
Current Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
