ELA and NiQ Health are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cable Installation Technician to join our team in Perth. ELA has over 50 years of experience in designing, installing, and supporting low-voltage electronic systems across Western Australia. We partner closely with NiQ Health, a leader in advanced CarePlus™ nurse call, RTLS, and care management systems for hospitals, acute care, and aged care facilities.
You will install and maintain cabling, nurse call systems, and related low-voltage equipment in healthcare and other facilities. This is a hands‑on field role involving cable runs, terminations, basic system setup, and troubleshooting. Full on‑the‑job training will be provided — no trade qualification is required. We value practical handyman skills and a willingness to learn our specialist systems.
Responsibilities
Running and terminating data, communications, and low‑voltage cabling in new and existing sites.
Installing and supporting NiQ Health CarePlus™ nurse call and related systems (training provided).
Basic system testing and commissioning under supervision.
Working safely and cleanly in healthcare environments (hospitals, aged care, etc.).
Providing excellent customer service during installations and site visits.
Qualifications
Must live in Perth, WA with your own reliable vehicle and a current Australian driver’s license.
Practical handyman skills and experience using hand tools.
Own a basic set of hand tools; specialist tools and equipment will be supplied.
Ability and willingness to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong customer service and communication skills; you’ll interact directly with clients, nurses, and facility staff.
A positive attitude and a valuable sense of humor (life’s too short not to enjoy the job!).
Must have Police Clearance.
No formal trade certificate is needed – we’re looking for someone practical, reliable, and personable who takes pride in doing quality work.
