Manager, Non-Residential AOD Services in Alcohol and Other Drugs NGO

Jarrah House is the name given to the residential rehabilitation location for the Women's Alcohol and Drug Advisory Centre Incorporated (WADAC), a Non-Government Organisation providing services to improve the wellbeing and health outcomes of women, and their families, carers and friends.

The Manager, Non-Residential AOD Services is a newly created leadership role designed to build and strengthen services for clients in the community. Initially, you will work closely with the CEO, Subject Matter Experts and the Steering Committee to build our new Family, Carers and Friends service.

The role involves:

- Coordinating counselling and support services to non-residential AOD clients (Aftercare and Family, Carers and Friends)
- Co-designing, monitoring and evaluating therapeutic frameworks, content & tools
- Client screening, assessments and care planning
- Delivering a range of psychosocial services including counselling, group facilitation (online and in-person), psychoeducation and brief interventions
- Contributing to clinical governance, activity-outcome review and quality improvement
- Maintaining client and operational records
- Building collaborative partnerships with relevant agencies and services.

About You

You’ll bring:

- Experience working in the AOD and/or Health sector
- An ability to guide, mentor and work collaboratively with others
- Experience in counselling and group facilitation
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychosocial and therapeutic frameworks and modalities applicable to AOD, community mental health, family support and continuing care
- An ability to engage diverse client groups.
- Psychology,



Counselling or related qualification
- Membership of a relevant qualified association
- Demonstrated successful experience in a clinical role, suitable to the operating context
- Has the right to work in Australia
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Criminal Record Check clearance
- Evidence of vaccination against Covid-19 and Whooping Cough
