Your new role

Ready to move into a visible, hands‑on business partnering role where your ideas can make a practical difference? This newly created People & Culture Business Partner role reports to the Head of People & Culture and offers the opportunity to work closely with leaders, improve how we support the business, and help shape a P&C; function that creates genuine value.

With a base salary range of $110k–$120k, this role is designed for a capable HR professional who is ready to broaden their influence, support leadership capability, contribute to meaningful career development, and play an active part in SV Partners’ next stage of growth.

You will provide sound judgement and practical advice across performance, development, day‑to‑day people matters and experienced hire recruitment, while building trusted relationships with leaders and teams nationally.

Working closely with the Head of People & Culture, you will help implement people priorities, generate ideas, improve processes and strengthen employee experience. You will also work alongside our P&C; Officer on administration and coordination activities, helping the function remain responsive while continuing to mature and add value.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Providing practical advice and support on performance, development and day-to-day people matters, while partnering with managers to build confidence in people leadership.
- Delivering reliable HR operations and employment administration, ensuring contracts, policies, records and compliance processes are managed accurately and consistently.
- Partnering with leaders to support effective experienced hire recruitment and workforce-related activities aligned to team and business needs.
- Contributing to people initiatives, business improvement projects and practical process changes that enhance service delivery, culture and employee experience.

About you

You are a natural relationship builder who enjoys being close to leaders and teams, understanding the business, and influencing practical outcomes. With 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role, you are confident navigating sensitive situations and bring a fair, thoughtful perspective to people matters.

This role will suit someone who is proactive, commercially minded, curious about better ways of working, and comfortable being visible in the business rather than operating as a reactive people service provider.

- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR, advisor or developing business partnering role, ideally within professional services or a similarly fast-paced environment.
- Strong capability in experienced hire recruitment, performance support, manager guidance and employment documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with leaders, form strong working relationships across teams, provide practical advice and support managers in applying people practices effectively.
- Experience supporting systems, reporting, employee experience or process improvements that strengthen performance, engagement, development and service delivery.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation, professional standards, confidentiality and risk management in a client service environment.

You will also bring strong organisational skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with leaders, employees and the wider P&C; team.

- A newly created role with scope to shape the People & Culture function, contribute ideas and influence practical improvements;
- Work from home opportunities upon completion of the probationary period;
- A range of benefits including paid parental leave, birthday leave and access to our Health and Wellbeing Program;
- A friendly, driven team setting where respect, service and teamwork are part of how we work;
- A fun and active social club.
