Fitter and Turner/Trade Assistant/Mechanic with experience in mechanical fitting required for Height Safety Company in Girraween.

We are seeking someone to join our team in manufacturing, assembly, testing, and repair facility for our height safety & material lifting equipment. Welding and Fabrication experience is not essential but would be of great assistance.

The successful candidate will need the following skills and attributes:

- Be able to work with hand and power tools
- Positive mechanical skills
- Experience in operating saw blade metal cutting machines, drill press, lathe
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team
- A good work ethic and a strong commitment to health and safety
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to problem solve




- Keen eye for detail & accuracy, taking pride in their work
- Performing quality checks on completed products
- Experience in low voltage electrical systems would be an advantage
- Experience in spray painting, surface preparation would be an advantage
- Ready for immediate start.
- To attend training when and where required
- Be able to travel for product installations when required

A day in the life of a Fitter and Turner/Trade Assistant/Fitter at BTS includes:

- Assemble prefabricated stock components
- Quality and function test safety equipment prior to dispatch
- Reading& interpreting specifications and drawings
- Laying out and position parts and assemblies in accordance with project specifications
- Engage in product testing
- Surface preparation and components painting
