We’re looking for a Junior Dental Assistant who’s excited to build a career in dentistry - someone who takes pride in doing things properly and wants to become an important part of our team. Whether you’ve recently completed your Certificate III or have some experience in a dental practice, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
As a junior Dental Assistant, you’ll learn the fundamentals of working in a busy private dental practice. You’ll begin by mastering infection control, sterilisation and the day-to-day operation of a busy dental practice before progressing to chairside assisting as your confidence and experience grow. You’ll never be expected to do something you’re not ready for. We’ll provide structured training and ongoing mentoring every step of the way, building your confidence as your skills develop.

Organised and detail-oriented—you take pride in doing things properly and double-check rather than assume.
Enjoys being busy, working as part of a team and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to help wherever needed.
Certificate III in Dental Assisting (completed or currently studying), or some experience in a dental practice, highly regarded.
What you’ll be doing initially
Preparing treatment rooms for our hygienist and dentists
Sterilising instruments and equipment to strict infection control standards
Organising and managing lab work
Receiving and managing stock
Maintaining accurate patient records
As your confidence grows, you’ll be trained to
Support the hygienist during clinical procedures
Process digital X-rays
Set up and prepare instruments for a wide range of treatments
