Senior Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics)

Senior Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics

We would love to welcome a passionate, experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at My Therapy Space Burleigh Waters.

At My Therapy Space, we are dedicated to helping children and families thrive, and we believe this starts with having an exceptional team. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist with strong clinical skills, warmth, initiative and a genuine passion for supporting children and families.

This role would suit an OT who is confident in their clinical practice, enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and is looking for a position that is rewarding, well supported and genuinely enjoyable. For the right person, there may also be future opportunities to move into a leadership role as our team continues to grow.

Why Choose My Therapy Space?

Since beginning their work journey together in 1999, our directors Trish and Lisa dreamed of creating the kind of multidisciplinary team they always wished for- a place where therapists felt inspired, supported & connected. That dream became a reality with the creation of My Therapy Space in 2018.

Today, our team consists of 29 passionate professionals working collaboratively to support children aged 0-18 and some young adults with diverse needs. We provide Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian and Psychology services and Therapy Assistant support within a highly connected multidisciplinary environment.

At My Therapy Space, our directors are hands-on and work alongside the team every day. We genuinely value our therapists and carefully recruit people who align with our core values of Commitment & Wholeheartedness and Excellence & Growth. We have built a culture that is caring, innovative, supportive and fun, where therapists are encouraged to bring their ideas, strengths and passions into their work.

Our therapists primarily work within our beautiful, light-filled clinic spaces because we know that spending long hours driving between visits can feel isolating. We have intentionally created an environment where therapists feel connected, supported and part of something meaningful.

Our Commitment to families and professional growth

We are deeply passionate about ongoing learning and professional development. We prioritise neurodiversity-affirming and family-centred practice,

and we work closely alongside families to ensure therapy goals feel meaningful and achievable in everyday life.

At My Therapy Space, we truly care about the families we support. We aim to create a space where families feel welcomed, understood and genuinely cared for. We also love creating community through events such as pamper evenings and retreats for mums, art therapy experiences for siblings, and social events for dads.

Our services extend beyond individual therapy sessions. We run a wide range of engaging and creative group programs including yoga, mindfulness and positivity groups, prep readiness, Lego groups, craft groups, dance and movement, scavenger hunts and more.

Our team also delivers workshops and training in areas such as, Key Word Sign, Positive Behaviour Support, Toilet Training, Emotional Regulation, Supporting neurodivergent children in the classroom as well as tailored educator training for childcare centres and schools. We welcome fresh ideas and love supporting therapists to develop programs and projects aligned with their interests and strengths.
