Room Leader – Diploma Qualified | NSW | Not-for-Profit ECEC Service
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Diploma-qualified Room Leader to join our welcoming and inclusive team at our 70-place community-based early childhood education and care service in Woy Woy, NSW.

About the Role
As our Room Leader, you'll take the lead in creating a warm, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Working alongside our Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor, you'll guide your team in delivering a high-quality educational program that reflects children's interests, strengths, and individual learning journeys.
This role offers the perfect balance of leadership, collaboration, and hands-on teaching, with dedicated support to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor your team to deliver a high-quality, play-based educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0).
- Foster secure, respectful, and meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Oversee the daily operations of your room, including routines, supervision, curriculum planning, and documentation.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports every child's learning and wellbeing.
- Support educators through collaboration, reflective practice, and professional guidance.
- Maintain high-quality observations, assessments, and learning documentation that celebrate children's progress.
- Work in partnership with the Educational Leader to contribute to continuous improvement and a culture of excellence.
About You
You are a positive and motivated educator who enjoys leading by example and building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
You'll bring:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or experienced Senior Educator (highly regarded)
- Solid knowledge of the EYLF V2.0, National Quality Framework (NQF), and NSW Child Safe Standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality early childhood education and supporting the professional growth of others
