About the Role
We are seeking an Accountant to join our team to undertake a varied mix of tax, compliance, and business advisory services. The role involves working with a broad range of clients, delivering high-quality accounting solutions while expanding your professional capabilities.
This position offers flexible working hours and is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, BAS lodgements for a diverse range of clients.
- Provide practical tax compliance and business advisory support.
- Maintain accurate client records and manage workflow to meet critical statutory deadlines.
- Use a range of accounting and practice software, including HandiSoft, MYOB, Reckon, and Xero.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to build strong professional relationships.
- Contribute positively to team collaboration, especially during peak busy periods.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
About You
- Technical Capability: A minimum of 2 years' experience in Public Practice.
- Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, advanced problem-solving abilities, and superior MS Excel / Word skills.
- Work Ethic: Excellent time management, self-motivation, and the ability to prioritise tasks and handle peak periods effectively.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
- Qualifications: Possess or be actively pursuing relevant tertiary accounting qualifications.
