Registrar / Principal House Officer (Psychiatry)

About the Role
As a Registrar or Principal House Officer (Psychiatry), you will provide evidence-based psychiatric assessment, treatment and ongoing care across inpatient, community and outreach settings.
Working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychiatric assessments and developing treatment plans
- Providing ongoing care across inpatient, community and outreach services
- Participating in outpatient clinics and inpatient ward rounds
- Contributing to the on-call roster
- Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Participating in teaching, research and quality improvement activities
- Developing your clinical expertise within an accredited training environment
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner, or eligibility for registration
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical judgement and evidence-based practice
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- A commitment to ongoing learning, quality improvement and professional development
Remuneration
Total remuneration of up to $181,282.80 per annum, including:
- Salary between $137,196 - $150,684 p.a. (L4-L7), or
- Salary between $137,196 - $158,618 p.a. (L4-L9)
- 12.75% employer superannuation
- 17.5% annual leave loading
