Glowave Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior/Junior Hairdresser to join our team at our Merrylands salon. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst delivering exceptional hair services to our valued clients. Whether you are an experienced senior stylist looking for part-time work or an ambitious junior hairdresser eager to develop your skills, this role provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic hair and beauty services environment. You will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service.

Key responsibilities

- Providing a comprehensive range of hair services, including cutting, colouring, hair extensions,styling and treatments tailored to client preferences and hair types
- Consulting with clients to understand their hair goals and recommending suitable services and products
- Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and salon cleanliness throughout your shifts
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings and loyalty
- Keeping up to date with current hair trends, techniques and industry best practices
- Following all health and safety regulations and salon protocols
- Supporting junior staff members with guidance and mentoring (for Senior Hairdressers)
- Contributing positively to the salon team and working collaboratively with colleagues
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping of client preferences and services provided

What we're looking for

- Current and valid hairdressing qualification or apprenticeship completion (mandatory)
- For Senior Hairdressers: 3+ years of professional hairdressing experience with a demonstrated portfolio of work
- For Junior Hairdressers: Recent qualification or currently completing apprenticeship with enthusiasm to develop skills further




- Proficiency in a wide range of cutting, colouring and styling techniques
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to make clients feel welcomed and valued
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, high-quality results
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work part-time hours as scheduled
- Knowledge of hair care products and the ability to recommend appropriate treatments
- A passion for the hair and beauty industry and commitment to continuous professional development
- Team player mentality with a positive attitude towards collaboration
