Join Our Team as a Head Chef
Wharf Bar & Restaurant, Ballina
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team in a full-time role. You will work closely with our Group Head Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan menus, develop recipes, and oversee food preparation
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent, high-quality output
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage stock levels and place orders as required
- Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure seamless service
- Continuously improve kitchen processes and efficiency
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef/Sous Chef, or 3 years as a qualified Chef
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, plating, and presentation
- Excellent time management and ability to perform under pressure
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Versatile availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Valid food safety and hygiene certification
- Valid Australian work visa or work authorisation required.
