We are seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced night nurse to support a 79-year-old gentleman who is beginning to show early signs of cognitive decline.

This is a live-in position (but this is negotiable) based in a 3-bedroom apartment in Point Piper, with a planned move at the end of August to a home in Woolwich.

Working Hours:
Saturday to Wednesday 5:00pm - 10am daily
(Live-in accommodation provided, but only these hours are required for active duties)

Live-In Companion / Carer (Weekdays) – Point Piper → Woolwich

About the Role

This role is focused primarily on companionship, gentle support, and helping maintain an active, engaged lifestyle.

The gentleman is largely independent and is able to:

- Wash, dress, and feed himself

- Manage personal toileting independently





Your presence will provide reassurance, structure, and social engagement .

Key Responsibilities

- Providing companionship and conversation

- Driving to appointments, outings, and activities

- Attending medical appointments as needed

- Encouraging light fitness and daily activity

- Supporting routine and general wellbeing

Light Domestic Duties:

- Preparing breakfast and dinner

- Washing and ironing clothes

- Changing bed linen when required

About You

- Ideally have a nursing, aged care, or similar background

- Warm, patient, and engaging personality

- Comfortable working with early-stage cognitive decline

- Valid driver’s licence (essential)

- Reliable and respectful of a shared living arrangement (if required)

Additional Information

- You can live in the residence full time if required

- A second carer manages the day care and a third carer manages Thursday and Friday nights

- Weekend days are currently supported by family
