Paediatric Recovery cares for children from across all of NSW aged between 0 – 18 years old. Recovery nurses possess unique nursing skills to ensure the safe care of patients after general anaesthetic following a range of surgeries and procedures. We care for all surgical specialties which include but are not limited to general surgical, orthopaedic, plastics, urological, neurosurgical, dental and ophthalmology. Working in Recovery will further develop your critical care skills including extensive airway management skills; whilst still providing holistic care to patients with complex and non-complex medical needs.
If you are looking for a supportive and inclusive team environment, Paediatric Recovery is the place for you! You will work within a Multidisciplinary Team and with skilled nurses who have worked in the Unit/Hospital for over 15 years. You will be closely supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Specialists. Prior experience in Paediatric or Adult anaesthetic and/or recovery nursing is desirable. The position requires working a rotating roster and includes after-hours On Calls 7 days/week.

The Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children's Hospital Network.
