Travel Cooks/Chefs – Aged Care Facilities (NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, TAS)
MyCare Talent is currently recruiting Travel Cooks/Chefs for aged care facilities across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.
These roles are ideal for cooks and chefs who enjoy travelling, gaining experience in different kitchens, and earning robust contract rates while supporting communities that need staff the most.
Contracts typically range from 4 to 12 weeks, with potential for extensions depending on facility requirements.

Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals in line with resident dietary and care needs
- Cater for special diets, including texture-modified (IDDSI), allergy, and cultural requirements
- Manage kitchen operations, food safety and stock control
- Work alongside care staff and dietitians to support resident wellbeing
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards and HACCP procedures
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised and audit-ready
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 6 months experience cooking in aged care, healthcare, or a similar high-volume setting
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check
- Working rights in Australia
- Willingness to travel for contracts
