Queensland Corrective Services is hiring a Mental Health Clinician – Occupational Therapist – Social Worker. The role offers qualified supervision, development, and supportive leadership, and involves managing a challenging caseload and providing tailored mental health interventions.
The position will be based at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre, a facility that provides a range of mental health services to adults in custody.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk.
Provide psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms and treatment options to individuals.
Deliver individual or group‐based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience.
Maintain a high level of knowledge and contemporary understanding of psychopathology, diagnostic classification systems,



and clinical and psychometric assessment tools.
Apply QCS' clinical frameworks to guide decisions and activities, and work under supportive leadership and supervision to broaden professional experience.
