Join Metro South Health as a Permanent Part-time Recreational Officer (64 hours per fortnight) at Redland Residential Care, Cleveland, where you'll design and deliver engaging recreation and lifestyle programs that enhance residents' wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

Your new role:

As our Recreational Officer, you'll play an important role in creating meaningful experiences that promote wellbeing, social connection and independence for residents by:

- Designing, implementing and evaluating engaging recreation and lifestyle programs tailored to individual needs.
- Coordinating community outings, special events and group activities that encourage participation and enjoyment.
- Working collaboratively with nursing, allied health professionals, residents and families to support person-centred care.
- Monitoring and evaluating activity outcomes while maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment that enhances residents' quality of life.

About you:

You are a compassionate and enthusiastic recreation professional who enjoys building genuine relationships and creating positive experiences for others, with:

- Experience delivering recreation, leisure or lifestyle programs within aged care, disability or healthcare settings.
- The ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds using empathy, respect and excellent communication skills.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to person-centred care and delivering high-quality services that improve residents' wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications in Leisure and Health or equivalent experience, together with the ability to meet the role's mandatory requirements.
