We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our personal injury law team, available for immediate start.

Taylors Solicitors is a mid-sized Mackay based legal firm that has been providing legal services for over 45 years with our office located in the Mackay CBD.
The opportunity
Our office has an opening for a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support a senior lawyer working in personal injury law including workers' compensation, CTP and public liability claims.
The position is available for immediate start.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing a variety of documents including correspondence, notices of claim, briefs, pleadings, and transcribing dictation.
Liaising with clients, counsel and other key parties, coordinating medico-legal and specialist appointments, and conferences and mediations.
Lodging claims and applications, and collating supporting material.
Providing general administrative support including diary and inbox management,
maintaining accurate client records and general file maintenance.

What we are looking for:
Previous personal injury law or legal experience will be an advantage but not essential.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe, along with accurate typing and document formatting skills.
A proactive, positive and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn quickly.
Strong interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills.
The ability to work autonomously and within a team, take initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
A reliable, mature approach with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and robust attention to detail.
