Rental Yard Hand - Earthmoving Equipment Inspections

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an highly motivated and experienced Rental Yard Hand who will be required to conduct the on and off hiring of our machinery and attachments at our Wagga Wagga Depot. You are responsible for the quality, accuracy and presentation of all equipment movements in and out of the yard and as per the Proquip process.You will work under broad guidance from the Hire Co-ordination team and will require strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.

- Conducting the on/off hire process as per company procedures to ensure equipment presentation is kept to a high standard and customers have an exceptional experience
- Managing the overall yard space effectively whilst maintaining high standards and cleanliness
- Carry out mechanical inspections to clear the equipment into service, or place under repair if a defect is detected using specific inspection checklists
- Liaise with hire coordination team to ensure timelines are met
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to confirm all details for logistical purposes and transport timeslots
- Identify and assess damages to off hired equipment and accurately follow the damage as per company processes
- Driving continuous improvement and supporting a harmonious work environment
- Participate in and/or proactively engage in staff training (as required)
- Providing additional support as required
- Participate in weekly branch performance meetings and providing feedback
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ Years in a similar role
- MR or HR License - preferred
- Having some basic computer skills - including familiarity with tablets/ipads - essential
- Attention to detail and accuracy with excellent presentation, communication, and organisational skills
- Having a forklift license for more than 12 months - preferred
- Have some basic mechanical knowledge in earthmoving equipment but not essential - preferred
