We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fabrication Trainer to deliver high-quality training and assessment to students undertaking fabrication, welding, and metal trades qualifications. This role is ideal for an industry professional who is passionate about passing on practical skills and supporting learners to succeed in the trade.
About the role
As a Fabrication Trainer, you will deliver training aligned with the MEM Training Package, ensuring students develop the technical knowledge, hands-on skills, and safety awareness required in the fabrication and engineering industry.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face and/or online fabrication and welding training
- Assess student competency in line with training package requirements
- Develop and maintain training and assessment materials
- Ensure compliance with RTO and regulatory standards
- Support and mentor apprentices and adult learners
About you
- Trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication (or equivalent)
- Current and relevant industry experience
- Training and Assessment qualification (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Solid skills in fabrication, welding, and metalwork
- Excellent communication and practical training skills
Desirable
- Experience delivering training within an RTO or TAFE
- Experience working with apprentices
- Knowledge of WHS and industry safety standards
