Our school is dedicated to fostering the foundational development of each student, providing an enriching curriculum that blends academic achievement with spiritual growth, creativity, and a strong sense of community. St Mary's Cathedral College Sydney is seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate Religious Education Teacher. This is a full-time, temporary position, commencing Monday, 10 August 2026 and concluding Friday, 23 October 2026.
About You
As a Teacher of Religious Education (Year 7-12), you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:
- exemplary classroom practice and experience in teaching Stages 4-6 Religious Education
- dynamic and innovative expertise in teaching, programming, and assessment, underpinned by relevant experience
- ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of the students
- sound interpersonal skills and a willingness to work collaboratively as a team member
- confidence with the integration of technology into the curriculum to promote quality learning principles
- an understanding and an ability to support the Catholic life of the College
- strong classroom management and student well-being focus
- ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
- a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
