We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Trainer to deliver high-quality training and assessment to students undertaking mechanical or engineering-related qualifications. This role is ideal for an industry qualified who enjoys mentoring others and sharing practical expertise.
About the role
As a Mechanical Trainer, you will deliver training aligned with relevant training packages, ensuring learners develop strong technical skills, industry knowledge, and safe work practices required in mechanical trades.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face and/or online mechanical training and assessment
- Assess student competency in accordance with training package requirements
- Develop and maintain training and assessment materials
- Ensure compliance with RTO and regulatory standards
- Support and mentor apprentices and adult learners
About you
- Trade qualification in a mechanical discipline (e.g. Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Automotive or similar)
- Current and relevant industry experience
- Training and Assessment qualification (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Strong technical and practical skills
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Desirable
- Experience delivering training within an RTO or TAFE
- Experience working with apprentices
- Strong understanding of WHS and safety standards
