Superior Care Group is a family-owned residential aged care provider operating homes at Wellington Point and Merrimac. We are seeking an Quality Assurance Nurse to assist the Group Manager with assessing compliance against company and legislative requirements.
The position is 24-30 hours per week dependent on workload and can be negotiated flexibly with the Group Manager, Aged Care. The role requires regular attendance at both aged care homes and consideration will also be provided to remote work for desktop auditing components. The position is paid in accordance with level 1 Registered Nurse.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in quality audits and reviews.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum three years’ experience in Aged Care, preferably in residential and / or community setting in a relevant supervisory or management level position.
A robust commitment to excellence and continuous quality improvement with a sound working knowledge of quality principles and accreditation.
Thorough knowledge of aged care clinical practices.
Must be a Registered Nurse that is registered with AHPRA.
Desirable: Sound knowledge of Leecare clinical documentation software
Tasks & responsibilities
Verifying data supplied by the site management teams for NQIP, QFR and benchmarking purposes.
Assessing compliance against legislative requirements: mandatory minutes staffing, criminal history check for workers, SIRS reporting and restrictive practices.
Verify compliance against company processes such as Board reporting, care planning and continuous improvement.
Reviewing integrity of management responses to resident complaints, incident management, care planning, Quality Commission hospital admission/discharge situations.
Non-clinical auditing concerning human resource, hotel service and organisational compliance aspects.
