Qualified Beauty Therapist – Join Our Busy & Established Newtown Salon

We are looking for a qualified Beauty Therapist to join our busy, well-established salon in Newtown. If you're passionate about the beauty industry, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are looking for a long-term career with a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

Our salon specialises in a wide range of treatments including skin care, advanced facials, waxing, spray tanning, IPL, manicures, pedicures, microdermabrasion, skin needling, dermaplaning, body treatments and much more.

About You:

We are looking for a mature, PUNCTUAL, hardworking, reliable and well-presented Beauty Therapist who is friendly, professional and a genuine team player.

The successful applicant will:

- Have a genuine passion for the beauty industry.
- Be highly organised with excellent time management skills, including arriving early each day to prepare your treatment room and set up for the day.
- Have a strong work ethic, take initiative and be a very fast learner.
- Be open-minded and willing to learn and follow our salon systems and treatment protocols, even if they differ from previous training or workplaces.
- Work efficiently and confidently in a rapid-paced salon environment.

Our salon is consistently busy, and this role is physically demanding. You will be on your feet for most of the day, and we expect our therapists to remain productive throughout their shift. If you are looking for a slower-paced workplace, this position is unlikely to be the right fit.

Hours & Availability:

The position will commence at approximately 20–28 hours per week (2–3 days),



with the expectation of progressing to a full-time 38-hour position as you build your client base and successfully complete your in-salon training and competency assessments. Your progression will depend on your commitment, performance and how quickly you learn.

Applicants must be available:

- Every Saturday
- Wednesday and Thursday evenings until 8:00 pm

No Sunday work is required.

We are seeking someone who is committed to building a long-term career with us. Ideally, you will be looking to remain with our team for 3+ years, allowing you to develop strong client relationships and contribute to long-term client retention. We are not seeking a short-term employee.

Qualifications & Training:

A formal beauty qualification is essential, with a Diploma preferred.

On-the-job training may be available for the right candidate who has recently completed their studies; however, you must be committed to intensive training during your initial months and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply feedback consistently.

Eligibility:

Only Permanent Australian Residents will be considered for this position.

Wages: Hourly rate will be based on your experience, qualifications and level of training required. Applicants requiring extensive training will be remunerated accordingly.
