City of Kingston

ALLFENIX is a Melbourne-based Pilateswear brand designing premium performance apparel for retail partners across Australia and the United States. Alongside the core brand, our private label division develops high-volume activewear collections for major international retailers. These ranges move quickly from brief to production and require designers who are organised, accurate and confident working inside commercial development timelines. This role works directly across those retailer programs and gives exposure to how large-scale activewear ranges are built and delivered globally.

The Role

This is a hands-on execution role working primarily across private label activewear programs.

You'll translate retailer briefs into CADs, colour updates and development files, support sample progression through the critical path and help ensure product moves forward accurately and on schedule. Multiple programs run at once, so this role suits someone who enjoys working at pace, adapting to evolving briefs and keeping documentation clear as styles move quickly through development.

What You’ll Be Doing

Design & Product Development

- Translate retailer briefs into Illustrator CADs and garment sketches
- Execute colour and graphic updates across existing silhouettes and seasonal programs
- Prepare, update and maintain tech packs and design documentation
- Adapt existing blocks across seasonal colour and graphic directions
- Build range boards and presentation layouts
- Support range sheet maintenance including style counts and colour runs

Research & Concept Support

- Build seasonal mood boards, colour direction and trend references for new programs

Graphics & Print Execution

- Prepare placement graphics and logo applications
- Scale artwork correctly across graded size sets
- Source fabric and trim references to support design direction
- Maintain trim cards and assist with colour standard tracking including lab dips and strike offs
- Communicate development updates with offshore suppliers
- Update revisions following internal feedback
- Support progression of styles through the development timeline
- Participate in fit sessions alongside designers and garment technicians
- Support implementation of fit revisions across styles

What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years experience in a fashion design role
- Activewear experience highly regarded
- Degree or diploma in fashion design preferred
- Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills (essential)
- Confident preparing CADs and updating tech packs
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear communication with suppliers and internal teams
- Experience creating garment graphics, typography layouts or repeat prints is highly valued
- Comfortable reprioritising quickly when buyer deadlines shift or urgent briefs come in — multiple programs run simultaneously and priorities change fast

What We Offer

- Generous staff discount on ALLFENIX product
- Birthday leave
- Flexible hours and one day WFH per week
- Brand current Moorabbin office with a pilates studio, infrared sauna and all-day parking
- Direct involvement across multiple activewear programs each season
- Real career progression as the design team grows
- A collaborative environment where your work moves quickly from brief to production
