Opportunity
The Research Administrative Officer plays a vital role in supporting the successful operation of the Monash University Clinical Trials Centre by delivering high‑quality research administration and professional support services. Working across a diverse range of activities, you will help coordinate clinical trial operations, streamline administrative processes and provide trusted support to staff and stakeholders, contributing to research excellence and the delivery of world‑class clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a broad range of administrative and operational services that enable the efficient running of the Centre.
- Support office operations, project administration, committee and meeting coordination, financial processes, travel management, events and communications.
- Provide timely advice and responsive customer service to staff, researchers and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting systems, monitor trials, and coordinate data management activities.
- Develop and maintain documentation including SOPs and communications.
- Support compliance with University policies, occupational health and safety requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes,
service quality and operational efficiency.
- Build strong team-oriented relationships across the University, health services and external partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Outstanding administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes within deadlines.
- Strong commitment to customer service, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and confidence to work collaboratively while exercising sound judgement and initiative.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience developing effective administrative processes.
- Familiarity with clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements highly regarded.
