JOB OVERVIEW

Randstad is currently hiring an experienced Plant Operator – Crushing and Screen for a busy concrete recycling and quarry operation located in Petrie, Queensland.

This role is ideal for skilled machine operators who have experience working in quarry, recycling, construction, or heavy industrial environments. The company is looking for a reliable professional who can safely operate heavy machinery while supporting daily site operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely operate heavy machinery within the recycling and quarry yard
- Operate Front‑End Loaders for material handling tasks
- Operate Excavators used as material handlers
- Operate Moxy Articulated Dump Trucks and other machinery when required
- Complete daily machinery inspections and pre‑start checks
- Assist with basic maintenance and equipment care
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and site regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience in quarry operations, concrete recycling, or industrial yards
- Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence or higher is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of workplace safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work long hours when required
- Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor conditions
