Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation (AAC) is seeking a dedicated and community-focused Employment Consultant to support job seekers on their journey toward meaningful and sustainable employment. In this role, you will provide comprehensive case management to individuals registered with Centrelink, working with people from a wide variety of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. This includes supporting clients who may be socio-economically disadvantaged, long-term unemployed, or living with disability.
You will build strong, trusting relationships with participants, assess their needs, develop tailored employment plans, and guide them through barriers that may impact their job readiness.
The role requires ongoing monitoring, documentation, coaching, and advocacy to ensure each client receives an individualized and culturally appropriate level of support. Success in this position relies on excellent communication skills, genuine empathy, and robust administrative capabilities to maintain accurate records, manage appointments, and meet program requirements.
As an Employment Consultant, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to build confidence, develop skills, and achieve long-term employment outcomes.
