About The Opportunity As Head of Product, you will lead the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, shaping and delivering innovative travel money and financial solutions that drive growth and customer value. You’ll play a pivotal leadership role, identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and bringing products to life across both retail and digital channels. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll influence the future of the product portfolio while building a high‑performing product function. This is a high‑impact opportunity to drive product‑led growth in a dynamic, customer‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and partner forums
Foster a culture of innovation, customer‑centricity, and commercial discipline
Develop product training and collateral to support frontline teams and cross‑selling
Own product P&L; performance, including revenue, margins, and cost management
Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure product success and growth
Continuously optimise existing products using customer insights and performance data
Contribute to executive leadership discussions and champion product‑led growth
Build and develop the product team, recruiting and mentoring product professionals
Lead the end‑to‑end product development lifecycle from concept to launch and scale
Structure commercial agreements including revenue‑share models and distribution terms
Design and implement distribution strategies leveraging retail network and digital channels
Identify, engage, and negotiate with product providers, fintechs, insurers, and technology partners
Define and own the multi‑year product strategy aligned with growth ambitions and customer needs
Build and manage strategic partnerships, ensuring strong performance and mutual value creation
Build and maintain a clear product roadmap with milestones, commercial cases, and success metrics
Identify, evaluate, and prioritise new product opportunities across travel money, fintech, and financial services
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments across Australia and New Zealand
Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and Retail teams to deliver seamless products
Present product strategies, performance, and business cases to senior stakeholders including CEO and Board
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.
Experience & Qualifications
MBA or postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
Strong stakeholder management and partnership development experience
Background in retail distribution and multi‑site operations
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to build and develop teams
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and performance management skills
Proven experience in product strategy, development, and commercial delivery
Exposure to Australian and/or New Zealand regulatory landscape for financial products
Experience in foreign exchange, travel money, prepaid cards, remittances, or related financial products
