Westvic Staffing Solutions, in partnership with South Gippsland Shire Council, are offering an exciting and creative people-focused Capability & Culture Traineeship. As a Trainee, you will assist with organisational processes and support local community.

This is a diverse role with tasks relating to Organisational Development, Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Digital Records & Information Technology.

Every day is different, you might be meeting new people, scheduling meetings, attending events, booking meeting rooms, processing documents, analysing data or assisting with computer technology.

- Full-time 24-months fixed term commencing October or November 2026
- Achieve industry specific qualifications and valuable practical experience
- Start your career in Local Government with South Gippsland Shire Council

During this 2-year Traineeship, you will support projects and programs that enhance employee capability, foster a positive workplace culture, and improve organisational effectiveness. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain practical experience in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, learning administration, data analysis, communications, and change initiatives.





The successful applicant will have

- Eligibility to complete a Certificate III or IV in Business or Information Technology
- Completion of Year 11 or Year 12 VCE or equivalent
- Work experience in a relevant field. For example, Customer Service
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite
- Attention to detail
- Competent written, verbal communication & interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for professional development and enhancing career prospects

This 24-month Traineeship will give you the opportunity to explore different local career pathways, gain credible experience, build connections, make friends, and achieve industry specific qualifications.
