The Youth Detention Centre Psychologist provides assessment and intervention services to young people in a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally safe manner. The role requires leading and facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration across internal and external agencies to support proactive communication and positive outcomes for young people.
Responsibilities
Deliver assessment and intervention services to youth in detention settings.
Apply trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally safe practices.
Lead and facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration across internal and external agencies.
Collaborate with allied health disciplines (Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists) and broader client services teams.
Contribute to proactive communication to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
