Legal Counsel | Commercial | 3-5 years PAE
Wolf & Williams are partnering with a market-leading multinational organisation operating in a highly regulated sector. Working closely with the legal team, you will provide pragmatic commercial advice and support key business initiatives across the region. Note this is a parental leave cover 12 month term.
This is a genuinely broad in-house opportunity for a lawyer looking to step away from private practice, offering exposure to contracts, projects, and operational decision‐making, with real stakeholder access and influence.
About the role
Working closely with an experienced General Counsel, you will provide legal, regulatory and compliance support to Australian & regional operations.
You'll draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, provide support on procurement, support on compliance and regulatory matters, while providing pragmatic day‐to‐day advice on general legal, risk and governance.
The role offers exposure to both project work, as well as BAU, where you'll contribute to strategic legal and risk discussions, supporting teams across multiple business functions, under the guidance of the GC. You will also assist with policy development,



compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations, helping ensure strong governance standards across the organisation.
This is a hands‐on position suited to a lawyer who enjoys variety, stakeholder engagement and being close to the business while continuing to develop under senior leadership.
About you
You are a commercial lawyer with 3-5 years' PQE gained in a reputable law firm or in‐house setting, with exposure to highly regulatory industries.
You will bring:
Experience advising and drafting general commercial contracts, procurement matters, as well as compliance and risk assessment;
A practical, solutions‐focused approach to risk and contract interpretation;
Confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders in fast‐paced environments;
Expereince in working with internal and external regulatory agencies, and bodies;
Strong communication skills and the credibility to work closely with senior decision‐makers
