About the Role
As a key member of the Commercial team, you will shape the women's designer category, curating a selection that reflects the latest trends and meets evolving customer needs. You will work closely with planning, marketing, operations and finance to drive sales, maximise profit and deliver the best assortment.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and support company‐wide strategies and OKRs.
Conduct market research to stay current with trends and recommend product/brand selections.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock.
Evaluate vendor performance and manage selection, deactivation or exit processes.
Negotiate favourable terms and conditions for both commission‐based (Platform) and OTB‐based (Wholesale) vendors while ensuring a market‐leading assortment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and industry regulations.
Source new products that resonate with customers and identify emerging trends.
Maintain accurate records of vendor details, including brand plans, SKU lists and department brand profile matrices.
Identify opportunities to improve the customer onsite experience.
Analyse data, interpret trends and propose decisions based on data.
Develop procurement and platform strategies that deliver cost savings.
Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers,
working collaboratively to achieve mutual goals.
Coordinate vendor onboarding with internal teams and provide ongoing support.
Collaborate with key brands to build assortment and manage inefficient or unproductive brands.
Read and understand complex contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
Collaborate with marketing to identify GTM and promotional opportunities that drive sales.
Develop and implement strategic road maps aligned with commercial strategies and customer segments.
Communicate clearly and concisely with internal stakeholders.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Adapt to market changes and be open to learning new skills.
Undertake other duties as reasonably required by management.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a buyer in a high‐volume business.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management.
Team player who embodies ICONIC principles.
Passion for women's fashion.
