School Psychologist – Moree Public School (Multiple positions). 2 full‐time equivalent roles.

Remuneration

/n

Package valued up to $182,461 plus incentives where applicable. Base salary ranges from $101,122 to $160,983, plus leave loading and employer contribution to superannuation. Rural/remote incentives $20,000–$30,000 per annum may apply.

Key Accountabilities

/n

/n

- Provides counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups, including short‐term therapeutic interventions within the constraints of training, experience and supervision.

/n

- Engages with and implements the procedures of the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.

/n

- Works in consultation with the principal, school executive, staff and student support services to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes and implement departmental priorities.

/n

- Contributes to the social, emotional, and academic development of students, and supports schools and students with complex behavioural needs.

/n

- Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessment of students, reports on the results and collaborates to improve learning, wellbeing and mental health outcomes.

/n

- Works collaboratively with learning and support teams, parents and carers, and other agencies to develop appropriate school‐based support for students.

/n

- Responds as part of a team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.

/n

- Refs students and/or their families and carers to other agencies that will support the development of student health and wellbeing outcomes.

Essential Requirements

/n

/n

- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy, Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG Inc. and the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.

/n





- General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.

/n

- Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance (WWCC) – NSW.

/n

- Current and valid driver's licence; ability and willingness to travel between work sites.

/n

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

/n/n

This advertisement is for 2 positions 1.0 FTE (Full‐time equivalent). Applicants seeking permanent part‐time employment are encouraged to apply; if the recommended applicant seeks part‐time, they will be offered an appointment at desired FTE.

The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one‐off recruitment payment of $20,000 (conditions apply). Pro‐rated for part‐time candidates. Rural and remote incentives of $20,000 to $30,000 per annum may apply for eligible positions.
