About the Role As an Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver engaging training and conduct competency‑based assessments for learners preparing for leadership and management roles in civil construction. You will support students through classroom, workplace, and online learning while ensuring compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
Key Responsibilities - Deliver training and assessment for the RII60620 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction and related civil construction qualifications.
- Develop and maintain training and assessment resources that align with training package requirements.
- Conduct theory and practical assessments using valid, fair, flexible and reliable assessment practices.
- Provide mentoring and academic support to students.
- Conduct workplace visits and liaise with employers and industry stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
- Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with ASQA and RTO requirements.
- Promote safe work practices and compliance with workplace health and safety legislation.
Essential Selection
Criteria - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent, or current successor qualification).
- Relevant qualification in Civil Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Advanced Diploma, Diploma, Degree, or higher).
- Demonstrated industry experience in civil construction, infrastructure, road construction, earthworks, project management, or site supervision.
- Experience delivering or assessing nationally recognised vocational qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of competency‑based training and assessment.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current Driver Licence. Desirable - Experience delivering RII Resources and Infrastructure Training Package qualifications.
- Experience with online and blended learning delivery.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience working with apprentices, trainees and adult learners.
- Experience delivering training in regional or remote locations.
